Information Minister attends pan-Arab meeting in Cairo

22 Sep 2022 Created: 11:54 PM Last Updated: 11:54 PM Views: 267 Cairo, Sept. 22 (BNA): Information Affairs Minister Dr. Ramzan bin Abdulla Alnoaimi participated today in the 52nd session of the Arab Information Ministers’ Council, held under the patronage of Egyptian President Abdel Fattaf El Sisi.


Addressing the pan-Arab meeting, Dr. Alnoaimi conveyed the greetings of His Majesty King Hamad bin Isa Al Khalifa and His Royal Highness Prince Salman bin Hamad Al Khalifa, the Crown Prince and Prime Minister.


He commended the role of the Arab League in consolidating common ties and supporting just Arab causes, especially in the media field, which is witnessing a number of common challenges that require a unified stance.


He paid tribute to President El Sisi for patronizing the Arab Information Ministers’ Council session, praising his keynote speech during his meeting with the Arab information ministers.


 Dr. Alnoaimi praised the initiative of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman bin Abdulaziz Al Saud who called for the Jeddah Security and Development Summit, which represented a model for pan-Arab collective action.


He said that HM the King had stressed these goals in his keynote speech he delivered during the Jeddah Security and Development Summit, urging concerted efforts to confront foreign external interference in Arab countries’ internal affairs.


He praised the efforts undertaken by President El Sisi to coordinate and unify stances and confront challenges, citing the recent fraternal meeting which was held at El Alamein in Egypt last month.


He stressed the pivotal role of the media in building national and supporting development, urging practical and constructive work mechanisms and proposals which would enable the Arab media to fulfill its crucial national role, foster awareness, bolster Arab and Islamic values, and highlight Arab causes, above all the Palestinian cause.


Dr. Alnoaimi thanked the Republic of Sudan, hailing its efforts as chaired the previous session of the Arab Information Ministers’ Council. He wished the Arab Republic of Egypt success in chairing the current session. AHN
